Key Features of the Project

This project delivered a striking Hamptons-style fence that lifted both the privacy and the street appeal of an older-style home renovation in Doubleview. The brief was a statement boundary to suit a coastal Hamptons-inspired makeover, and the result wraps the corner block in over 20 metres of premium white PVC privacy panels topped with a slatted detail. Each panel runs full privacy through the lower two thirds for a clean, solid face, finished with twelve vertical slat toppers along the crown to add a classic Hamptons rhythm and a touch of openness up top. The crisp white finish ties directly into the home’s white facade and rendered exterior, making the fence read as part of the architecture rather than an afterthought. A matching white PVC pedestrian gate was fitted to maintain the same lines through the side access. Working a tight urban corner block, the team managed site logistics, gradient transitions across the slope down to the street, and panel alignment to land a flawless, uniform finish along both street frontages.

Products Used in the Project

The fence was built from Hamptons Combination PVC panels measuring 2388mm wide by 1800mm high, each offering full privacy below with twelve vertical slat toppers above, all in white PVC. Posts were 2500mm Hamptons one-way and two-way PVC posts with a 3.8mm wall thickness, reinforced with aluminium inserts for added strength and rigidity, each finished with a matching cap. The gate ran on a 2500mm one-way gate post with an aluminium insert to match the fence system. Star round hole plugs and concealed fixings were used throughout for a precise, clean finish on the face of the fence. PVC is the ideal choice for this style and this climate, as it holds its bright white finish without painting and resists Perth’s harsh UV, salt air, rust, and rot. Materials were supplied through the Glass Outlet BNE Pty Ltd Jandakot depot, with all work managed and installed by FencrGatr in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Client Expectations and Feedback

The homeowners wanted a statement boundary that matched their coastal, Hamptons-inspired renovation, with crisp aesthetics, low maintenance, and maximum privacy at the top of the list. The corner block sloped down toward the street, so FencrGatr offered retaining across the front to manage the grade change, but the client had other landscaping planned for the interior of the property and advised the crew that retaining would not be needed. FencrGatr worked with the existing levels to deliver a seamless, uniform fence line across both street-facing sides, keeping the top rail straight and the slat toppers even along the full run. The white Hamptons system integrated cleanly with the white facade and transformed the home’s street presence into a high-value feature.
