Why Work With Us – – – –
What A Week Actually Looks Like At FencrGatr
Monday you might be drilling footings through limestone in Trigg for a 30 metre Colorbond boundary. Tuesday could be fabricating gate components in our Balcatta workshop, getting a sliding gate frame squared and welded before powder coat on Wednesday. Thursday takes you to a pool fencing installation in Applecross where every panel has to sit flush with curved pool coping. Friday you are back on site in Ellenbrook finishing a security fence for a construction yard that needs handover by close of business.
That variety is what keeps our crew sharp. No two job sites are identical. Sandy soil in Quinns Rocks behaves differently to clay in Gosnells. A sloped block in Lesmurdie demands a different install approach to a flat subdivision lot in Piara Waters. We do not repeat the same task on a factory line. Every day brings a different site, a different set of problems to solve, and a finish you can drive past next year and point out to your mates.
Roles We Hire – – – –
Fencing Installation Roles We Are Currently Filling
We run dedicated crews across Perth WA covering everything from residential Colorbond boundary fencing to commercial security perimeters, aluminium slat and blade fencing, rural fencing, pool barriers, retaining walls, and automatic gates with electric fencing integration. That range means we need people with different skill sets.
Our experienced fencing installers handle the full scope of a job. You measure, you cut, you install, and you leave the site clean. A fencing labourer works alongside the lead installer, learning how to plumb posts, mix and pour footings, and handle materials safely on site. If your background is in carpentry, construction, welding, or landscaping and you want to move into fencing installation, we will train you up. We have taken on people from gardening, earthmoving, and even manufacturing backgrounds who turned into some of our best installers within a year.

Why Our Skilled Team Stays
We have had blokes start with us as labourers and work their way up to running their own crew within two years. That does not happen by accident.
What We Expect – – – –
What You Need To Join Our Growing Team
We are not chasing a long list of qualifications. Some of our best people came to us without any fencing experience at all. What we cannot teach is reliability, attention to detail, and the willingness to do a task properly even when nobody is watching. If you show up on time, take pride in a straight fence line, and treat customers the way you would want someone treating your mum, you will fit in here.
For installer roles, proven experience in fencing, carpentry, or construction helps. The ability to read basic plans and work to specification is essential for senior positions. A current driver’s licence is non negotiable since every job is on site across the Perth city and surrounding suburbs.
For labourer roles, we just need someone physically capable, eager to learn, and responsible enough to handle materials and equipment on a live construction site.
