Key Features of the Project

This Mount Hawthorn project involved the supply and installation of custom aluminium slat fencing and gates designed to blend seamlessly with the property’s heritage-style brickwork while delivering modern function. The design used Surfmist powder-coated aluminium slats with precise spacing to keep airflow and light moving through the boundary without giving up security, all set out to match the garage roller gate (installed after our work was completed) and enclose the full perimeter. The scope included a custom front entry gate on a welded frame, plus tailored infill panels to close off small gaps and keep the family dog safely contained. To shut off the backyard behind the carport, Colorbond gates in Surfmist were installed, and a custom side entry gate on a welded frame in Night Sky was fitted to the right-hand side. Tying privacy, durability, and architectural consistency together across several entry points made measurement and alignment the main challenge, but the finished job came up as a premium, cohesive result with a high level of attention to detail.

Products Used in the Project

The fence used 65mm aluminium slat panels paired with Colorbond gates in Surfmist, supplied by Fencing Supply Centre (Alagic Engineering Pty Ltd, Bayswater WA). Heavy-duty Safetech Megaklik self-closing hinges were fitted for durability and smooth operation. Posts, caps, and centre mullions were custom powder coated to keep everything consistent. Hardware, locks, and drop bolts were sourced from trusted Australian suppliers for long-term reliability. All elements were powder coated in Surfmist and Night Sky to suit the property’s colour palette and the surrounding features of the home.
