Key Features of the Project

This custom aluminium slat fence delivered a complete residential perimeter security solution while working with, rather than against, the natural character of the property. Set on a prominent corner frontage surrounded by established gardens and greenery, the job needed to balance privacy, security, architectural presentation, and integration with the landscape. The standout design feature was graduated permeability across the fence line: fully enclosed horizontal slats through the lower section for privacy and security at ground level, with carefully spaced slats up top to keep airflow moving, soften the visual bulk, and hold a connection to the streetscape and gardens. The fence was custom powder coated in Jasper, a muted earthy tone chosen to settle into the surroundings while still providing a refined contrast against the vibrant greenery. The scope also took in two custom gates, a large double-access gate for vehicle and service entry and a pedestrian gate at the pathway, both fitted with premium Borg digital locks. Installation called for precise alignment across varying ground levels in tight conditions next to existing gardens and paths, with particular care taken to protect the vegetation while holding consistent slat spacing and clean sightlines around the whole perimeter. From quote to completed install, the project was delivered within an impressive four-week timeframe.

Products Used in the Project

The fence was custom fabricated aluminium horizontal slat panels powder coated in Jasper, with a graduated slat design that runs fully enclosed at the base and opens up through the upper section. Two custom gates were included, a double access gate and a pedestrian gate, each fitted with a Borg digital locking system for secure, user-friendly access without compromising the look. Concealed fixing channels gave a clean architectural face, and heavy-duty D&D TruClose hinges were used on the gates for reliable self-closing operation. Framing and posts were custom powder coated to match. The custom fabrication and powder coat were chosen for both longevity and a seamless architectural finish suited to a premium residential setting.
